I just went back again today, and Bud looked over my old car (84 el camino) for me for free since I will be needing to take a 12-hour road trip for my move. He told me a few months back to drive the car around and and then bring it back after he had worked on it to make sure it was in good condition before he would recommend taking it long distances..He only charged me for my oil change...He's the greatest...very honest and has lots of integrity..

I can't express enough the gratitude to the owner (Bud) and his employees for the work and their honesty in this business. I have a construction business with 4 trucks and 4 other vehicles at home. Bud has a great business ethnics and really cares for his customers. Most of all is his honesty! I have total confidence with this company working on all my vehicles, with a construction business that depends on trucks day in and day out, this is the one to trust! On 1/9/09 she wrote a review with 5 stars to another auto service company in Oakland. Marie comments say that they were the best and that she trusts them with ten years of going there. Bud (owner) values relationships. He always takes time to talk to his customers and vendors when they come into his establishment. I would certainly recommend Performance Auto Care!

went here for 2nd opinion, and Bud patiently helped me, and seems truly care on my problems. explained in detail, step by step, gave me a crash course on car maintenance, detail on services need to be done, etc...I'm very impressed on his patience, and honesty. He told me i got rip off from the other shop (F*** you "All Ways Automotive" ! - read my review) that did the first batch, and proved that he was right by comparing prices online (now, i know how easy it was to verify parts online).. I was so clueless on cars, you can ask me anything about computers, but not cars... :P i understand cars a bit after my car fixed by his shop.. understand basic maintenance on BMW cars, and know how to verify / compare car parts online... all explained by him in great details, with pictures, his cool car-software, all printed out for me for future reference. and he also taught me to file complaint to BBB and BAR if I am not satisfied with any car repair shop in US.. never heard of those agency before until met Bud... I'll refer him to my friends/family, and my cars will be maintained by him from now on.. and i'm confident they will be in good hands... Thanks again Bud! :)

I know he is a busy person because he is a good mechanic and we all decide to always go back with him. So is ok bud take your time and keep during the good job. I am very happy so far, He is been working on my car 328 Convertible 1997 BMW - He did Brake Service and used good parts and replaced my Caliper also excellent job. I feel my brakes much better and the price was very reasonable and he explained to me what mas my best option on parts so I can save on money. He did work on my front suspension and lubed my control arm and Sway Bar Bushings because I was complaining of a squeaky noise. He also lubed all doors and hood and my top joints. Now the car is very quiet. Thank you. Also wheel alignment for a good price chipper than other people - Thank you. - He also mounted a new wheel, tire and balance them. I will be back with my oil changes and I will need some steering wheel lubing and seat belt tensioner replacement because my ASB light is on all the time, and in case of an accident my Airbag will not work. This is what he recommended just for my own protection. Thanks He is a good mechanic. He always explains to me what he did to fix my problem. He has 30 years of experience That says it all. I left my other mechanic because Bud's work is not good but excellent mechanic and I feel much better that my car will be running like a BMW. He is my favorite Mechanic because I know I can save lots of money and I know he is quality mechanic. Thank you Bud. ATT: Samuel Gutierrez your customer for ever.

Called Bud to check on pricing for a smog check and even though his machine wasn't working today he sent me to a friend of his in the same complex that would do the smog for the same price. While I was there I checked on the price for an alignment for my 4WD for which he quoted an exceptionally low $65. I'll definitely be going back for any service I need in the future.

Bud is a very nice guy. He explained everything patiently to me and fixed the problem of my car perfectly (The air bag didn't work) And he helped me check the car, told me a lot of the car. very helpful and honest~ I will go back and will recommend all my friends his shop.

Bud is great! Not only does he explain everything, he does it in a matter that us "mechanically challenged" can understand! I work right down the street from him and he does our shops mechanical work. I send all my family and friends to him. Mike that works for him is great too.... If you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable mechanic go and see Bud!

The guys here were great. It cost me 39 bucks to get the smog check and it was done within 15 minutes. They were really helpful, and let me know that my timing was off by a couple degrees. They fixed the timing and my hood that wouldn't close for 20 bucks.
