I first came to Bud to get my Timing chain done and been going ever since. Bud is great, very knowledgeable, I can give him a description of a problem that I'm having and he will go over every possible thing that may be causing the problem. For the most part they are very quick but Bud likes to be very detailed and double check everything just to make sure the problem is solved. He does great work and always uses quality parts unless requested by a customer. I have enjoyed my experiences going here. Keep in mine they are open Mon-Fri and they tend to be busy on the regular basis.

I have been having Bud work on my family cars since he first opened the shop. He is absolutely the best!!! He works on all types of cars and is very detailed in how he quotes the work and does the job. He is honest and provides great service at a fair price. I highly recommend him and I would not even consider taking any of our cars anywhere else but Bud's!!!!

I want to preface this review by giving a quick background about myself -- I am the typical female with not one ounce of knowledge about the mechanics or inner workings of automobiles. Yet, what counts in my favor is my scrupulous grasp for analysis and research. That attribute, therefore, helped me to single out Performance Auto Care Repair among the plethora of other highly rated auto-repair shops. And as I'll come to discover, picking Performance Auto Care was one of the best decisions I've made. As you will read in my review below, Performance Auto Care will show you what being respected as a customer is truly all about. The purchase of a very old, and very used, Toyota 4Runner was the compelling force that prompted my search for an experienced mechanic who could reinvigorate the car. Keep in mind that the 4Runner was already 20 years old, in considerable disrepair, and had already clocked 200k miles on its odometer. It had a worrisome vibration when driven, a braking disability that elicited a fervent prayer to God each time stopping was required, an undercarriage that seriously needed flushing, and an oil leak that made the Exxon-Valdez spill look like a drop in the pan. And those concerns were only the tip of the iceberg, albeit the more significant life-or-death repairs that necessitated addressing. Compound those issues with the fact that the car was a bit of an eyesore, and you basically have the whole challenge with which Adam, the mechanic from Performance Auto Care, was tasked to overcome. Recall from my brief introduction that I mentioned I am pretty much an imbecile when it comes to car mechanics. So, I appreciated it very much when Adam took the time to carefully explain all the repairs the 4Runner required. It was even more helpful when he provided the justification for each type of repair, and the pro's and con's for each as well. The additional information allowed me to make a definitive decision on whether to move forward with that particular repair or not, given that my budget was not the most forgiving, nor the most flexible. The fact that Adam did not speak to me in a condescending manner, despite him easily ascertaining that I comprehended only a fraction of what he was explaining, put him on quite an esteemed level of respectability. I have had my share of experiences with other mechanics who have taken advantage of my naiveté, and so being able to have someone that I could finally trust in not defrauding me was certainly refreshing. The job of repairing the 4Runner was indeed, as I had mentioned, no easy feat to overcome and therefore would necessitate keeping it at the shop for quite some time. But despite the generous timetable allowed to him, Adam endeavored to return the car to me within a week's time. And within the interim of that week, he regularly called me to keep me informed of the progress of repairs. Keeping in mind of my tight budget, Adam called one day to inform me of a change in plans with one of the agreed-upon repairs. He had performed an even closer inspection of one of the myriad of problems the 4Runner was experiencing, carefully analyzed it, and concluded that a different set of repairs was required, thus potentially saving me some money. WOW!!! Doth my ears deceive me?? Was I actually speaking to an honest mechanic who was offering to save me money, rather than conspiring to bilk me of perhaps another few hundred dollars to say the least??? Feeling comfortable with his expertise, I gave Adam free rein to perform what he felt was best for the safety of the vehicle, and thus my little brother -- the future driver to whom I was planning on gifting the car. In the end, the cost of repairs was nothing to sneeze at. But that was to be expected given the severity of disrepair the car was in. But keep this in consideration -- I actually felt I received a great deal for my money because of the extra miscellaneous things Adam and his team performed on the car as a courtesy. For example, the rims on the wheels were badly rusted, and so Adam painted them over with a black matte paint to help with its aesthetic appeal. They did a power clean of the engine and the under-carriage such that the car appeared to have had a complete engine overhaul. And the many various parts he replaced with new ones spanned over multiple pages in the comprehensive final report he gave at the end. And finally, they performed a complimentary cleaning and detail of the inside for my peace of mind. It has now been well over a month since I've received the car back and the most notable comment I now receive about the 4Runner is how smooth it rides and how powerful the engine sounds. That alone is testament to how good the mechanics at Performance Auto Care are!! A car meant for the junkyard, and now resurrected to its former glory. Hurrah to Performance Auto Care!! Respectable, experienced, and friendly service -- they come highly recommended, hands down!

I found the place on Yelp. I came in and asked for the price, the owner said you can drop off tomorrow and I said can I change my windshield wiper today because that day it was raining. He changed it and said you can pay together when you come in tomorrow! So nice! And I came in for the break he later told me my break doesn't need any change but did full inspection and found a lot other problem and fixed it up really fast. Just overall I can feel the sincerity of the owner and def recommend. It's not easy to find a trustworthy place for the cars as I know so little about cars!

About a month ago, my 2011 e92 m3 had an EDC malfunction error. I took it to the dealer thinking it would be covered under extended warranty, but to my surprise it wasn't. They told me I had to replace my front left strut and quoted me an insane $1700 + $300 for replacement and alignment. Obviously, I was not going to pay this absurd amount. My friend then recommended me this shop. I called Performance Auto Care and Adam picked up and gave me a much more reasonable quote. I was hesitant as I had never taken car to a non-dealer shop, but after seeing all the positive reviews on yelp and from my friend, I decided to take my car in the following day. Adam and Bud did not disappoint. Adam wasn't convinced that my strut would break after hitting a simple pothole and proceeded to spend the next hour thoroughly examining and checking the various parts and connections. At the end, he agreed that my strut was broken and needed to be replaced. He ordered the aftermarket equivalent part and told me it would arrive and be installed by the end of the day. Sadly, it didn't pan out perfectly as the part ended up not fitting and I needed the OEM one. The OEM part was quite expensive and Adam recommended I look around to find one at a good price. He also told me some other options such as upgrading all my struts to after-market coils (higher cost but better performance). In the end, it came down to me getting the strut as it would be cheaper and he could install it. Fast forward 2 weeks, I had bought and received the part. I took my car to the shop and Adam installed it in 2 hours. It was easy, there was no hassle, and the installation price was super reasonable. My car now runs smoothly and perfectly :) Adam impressed me with his clear experience and knowledge of working on performance cars. My experience at Performance Auto Care Repair was absolutely great. Bud and Adam were honest, professional, and super friendly. I had great conversations with both of them and learned a lot from just talking to them about performance cars. If you have a performance car (or normal car), I would definitely recommend this shop. Adam and Bud know what they're doing and your car is good hands :) I am definitely bringing my car back here.

My Honda Accord's starter died last night - and I had to get it fixed in a hurry. I checked Yelp and found Performance Auto Care Repair cited as a good shop and decided to give it a try today. Bud answered the phone and gave me a quote right away and said I could bring the vehicle in. After whacking my starter with a hammer I managed to drive the car to his shop. He quickly checked the vehicle - and gave me a price for replacing the starter which was actually less than what he had quoted earlier over the phone. And while initially he said it would be done by 1 PM - when I said I needed it earlier, he advanced it to 10:45 - and delivered it by 10:44. He also kept me informed about the progress and also did a complete check of the car and found some other miscellaneous problems that were also fixed for a very reasonable cost. It was an amazing experience - and I will take my car back to him any time. Highly recommended for excellent service, professionalism, and expertise.

Went there just after hours for a battery exchange, the guy was quick and nice enough to let me go get cash even after he'd swapped my battery without collateral. Would definitely recommend.

Bud is the most honest mechanic we know. We have been taking our cars to him for a number of years and no complaints. Their work is always quality and they never try to cheat you or overcharge you. The only problem is that they are not open on the weekends. But, find the time during the week, it's worth it! Just drop it off in the morning and they'll fix it by the afternoon or evening.

Bud is a mechanic's mechanic. Highly knowledgeable, experienced, and fair. I had him work on my '65 Corvair. He went above and beyond by pointing out little things that would bring it to A-1 condition. Not to "pad the bill," but because he has a keen eye for detail and does to your car what he would do if it were his own. He even did little extra things without being told and without charging. You can't ask for more from a mechanic!
